Credit Score and Your Loan
Your Credit Score is more thatn a number. It is a representation of how well you have paid your obligations timely. Traditional banks and lenders use your credit score heavily to approve loans. As a private lender, I will look at your score, however i am more interested in learning about you, understanding how you plan on repaying the loan, and the collateral that will be securing the loan.
Good Debt vs Bad Debt
Sometimes life throws all curve balls. However the term Good vs Bad Debt refers to the money that was borrowed and how it was used. Good debt can be a loan that is taken out to invest in an asset that may grow in the future such as real estate. An example of bad debt would be an individual that is taking out a loan to go on vacation. Regardless of your situation, don’t judge you. We are here to try and help you get on the right path.
Importance of Cash Flow
Cash flow is a borrowers ability to pay back their debts on a monthly or yearly basis. Cash flow is typically calculated by looking at all sources of income from a borrower compared to all of the borrowers monthly expenses. Lenders will have a different ratio they like to see with cash flow. Private lenders like myself will look at cash flow as well. However more importantly is the reason the borrower is seeking funding, how they intend to use money. and how the loan will be repaid. Private lenders are much more likely to make a loan when the collateral is strong that will be securing a loan, often overlooking previous cash flow issues or concerns.
History of Lending
Since the first coins were created, banks have been around. Ancient empires also required a system that would allow them to trade and distribute their wealth. Banks have been instrumental in this process, just like they are now. Over the years, various crises and bank panics led to the establishment of more regulations. The industry continues to evolve today with more and more banking services and lending now available online. As a borrower you have plenty of choices to get a loan.
